A Preview of Things to Come??

This morning my friend Simone came over for a few hours with her 8-month old son, Flynn. They moved to Dubai for her husband's work shortly after Flynn was born, so it was very exciting to have them back visiting in Australia! Simone and I had a great time catching up, and at first we watched the two littlies playing together, marveling at how much they'd both grown and how cute they were (you know, the typical mom stuff). Julia showed him the best toys to chew on and pointed out her books and her blocks and her kitchen, very happily showing off all of her stuff. But then things took a turn when Flynn decided that he didn't want to just look at the toys and proceeded to crawl over and play with some of the enticing toys Julia was showing off. She spent the next 2 hours with a scowl on her face, hoarding her toys -- and not just the ones she was playing with but anything Flynn even remotely set his sights on!
